Chuck Kelley Goes Latin!! - Wednesday from 4 - 6 PM
LuxuriaMusic’s General Manager Chuck Kelley started his career in an unlikely place—a video store in Manhattan Beach, Calif. That store, Video Archives, became famous as the launching pad for film directors Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary, and in 1994, Tarantino hired Kelley as Music Consultant on Pulp Fiction (a year later he worked on Robert Rodriquez’ From Dusk Till Dawn).
Since then, Kelley has worked in Hollywood as a Film & TV Manager for Restless Records/New Regency Pictures, produced CD re-issues for The Flaming Lips and Ennio Morricone and co-founded LuxuriaMusic. He has interviewed artists such as Brian Wilson and Al Jardine (the Beach Boys), film composers Vic Mizzy and Stu Phillips, Disney songwriters Richard and Robert Sherman and others. Chuck has been interviewed on CNN, E!, VH1 and the Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls DVD. He is currently producing and directing a documentary on Los Angeles session musicians of the 1960s.
